One of my dear childhood friends, Kristen Ponger, is a producer for one of the most amazing radio shows in the country, An Organic Conversation. About four years ago when the show was still fairly new, Kristen invited me on to talk about my non-profit, peaksmaker.com. Four years later, the show has skyrocketed in popularity because its hosts – Helge and Sita – have their finger on the pulse of what’s becoming more and more important to Americans: healthy living and sustainable lifestyle choices. I was delighted to be invited back on, this time in tandem with Dr. John Douillard. Since January, we’ve been partnering to share recipes for his 3 Season Diet Challenge (such as this Vegetarian Mung Bean Soup). On this episode, we dive into the benefits of eating seasonally and how it can contribute to weightloss and overall wellbeing. You’ll especially want to listen to this as Spring unfolds its petals and the first harvest of the year begins to ripen!
About the Episode:
The science of Ayurveda teaches us how to live in balance with our own nature and with nature around us. By eating detoxifying foods in the spring, hydrating foods in the summer, and grounding foods in the winter, we follow the seasonal rhythms of the harvest and of our own bodies.
About An Organic Conversation:
