“I want this salad for our wedding.” that’s what popped first in my mind when I  first ate that salad. It was wedding season and Antje and me were planning our wedding. It is ridicilous yummy and everybody enjoyed it.

Figs & Mozzarella Salad

Figs are grown in Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Mexcio, California and same parts in Africa and Asia (apologies, if I forgot something). Depending on the region, season is ...puh....let's say ... summer! The fig usually depends on the "wasp" Blastophaga psenes to be pollinated. But nowadays, figs are like bananas, self-pollinated. Ingredients

  • Figs - 4 figs
  • Mozzarella - 1 package fresh mozzarella
  • Basil - bunch basil
  • Olive oil -
  • Balsamic vinegar -
  • Salt and Pepper -

Instructions

  1. This salad is accomplished in less than 10min! Quarter the figs, slice the mozzarella and make a nice arrangement, add leaves of fresh basil, sprinkle some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper over the dish. Maybe add some toasted bread. Enjoy!
